Welcome!
Autism Society Lehigh Valley's mission is to improve the lives of all affected by autism in the Lehigh Valley.
The Autism Society envisions individuals and families living with autism who are able to maximize their quality of life, are treated
with the highest level of dignity and live in a society in which their talents and skills are appreciated and valued.
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental disability; signs typically appear during early childhood and affect a
person’s ability to communicate, and interact with others. ASD is defined by a certain set of behaviors and is a “spectrum condition”
that affects individuals differently and to varying degrees. There is no known single cause of autism, but increased awareness and
early diagnosis/intervention and access to appropriate services/supports lead to significantly improved outcomes.
The Autism Society Lehigh Valley helps individuals with autism and their family members
by supporting community events and local support groups to create an autism-friendly community.
We sponsor events specifically for
younger children, youth/young adults and that also can be enjoyed by all ages!
